- Empowers members, secretaries and leaders of Co-operatives and grassroots organizations to enhance their development through training, inter-mediation and linking with development support institutions in order to fight against poverty,
- Prepares training materials for field education,
- Conduct training needs for community-based organizations, Co-operatives and the general public,
- Conducts seminars, workshops and short courses for members, staff, committees, board members and leaders of co-operatives and prepares them to join advanced courses at MUCCoBS,
- Conducts distance learning programmes,
- Organizes and carries out gender responsive programmes aimed at creating favourable conditions for sustainable development for all including disadvantaged groups
