FACULTY OF BUSINESS AND INFORMATION SCIENCE (FBIS)
Preamble
The Faculty of Business Management and Information Sciences comprises of three academic departments namely Banking and Micro-Finance, Business Management and Information Technology and Marketing and International Trade. The faculty operates a semester system in which the academic year is divided into two, except for evening programmes which are run under the modular system. Current Programmes under the faculty include Certificate in Accounting, Certificate in Information Technology, Certificate in Microfinance Management, Diploma in Business Information and Communication Technology, Bachelor of Arts in Procurement and Supply Management and Bachelor of Arts in Microfinance and Enterprise Development. Postgraduate programmes include: Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting and Finance and Postgraduate Diploma in Savings and Credit Co-operative Societies Management.
Certificate Programmes
These are one academic year (two semesters) programmes:
- Certificate in Accounting and Finance (CAF)
- Certificate in Information Technology (CIT)
- Certificate in Microfinance Management (CMF)
Diploma Programmes
This is a two academic years (four semesters) programmes .
- Diploma in Business Information and Communication Technology (DBICT)
Undergraduate Degree Programmes
These are three academic years (six semesters) Programmes:
- Bachelor of Arts in Procurement and Supply Management (BA-PSM)
- Bachelor of Arts in Microfinace ad Enterprise Development (BA-MFED)
Post-graduate Programmes (Full Time and Evening)
- Postgraduate Diplomas
These are one academic year (two semesters) Postgraduate Diploma Programmes:
- Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting and Finance (PGD-AF)
- Postgraduate Diploma in Saving and Credit Co-operative Societies Management (PGD-SACCOS)
